Product: Portland Limestone Cement, Ready Mix Concrete, SuperCem Slag Cement

Location: Dade City / San Antonio Florida

Sector: Civil

The owner’s project, FDOT, encourages the use of Portland-limestone cement (PLC) Type IL in all their projects, knowing that the cement has to undergo rigorous testing and must be approved prior to use. Ready Mix Concrete Supplier, Argos, provided mix submittals to contractor Superior Construction Company and convinced them to use Argos PLC Type IL cement for the sustainable and performance aspects of the material. In addition, Argos also provided PLC and SuperCem Slag to the contractor for their on-site concrete mixing plant.

This project will widen and realign State Road 52 in eastern Pasco County. Between Uradco Place and Bayou Branch Canal the existing road will be widened to a four lane divided roadway.

East of Bayou Branch Canal, the new alignment of four-lane divided SR 52 will be built south of the existing SR 52.

Clinton Avenue between CR 579 and Fort King Road will be widened to a four-lane divided road.
