The contractor specified that all concrete was to be batched to exact specifications at the plant and no water added on site. For colored concrete walls, we developed a custom color that met specifications to adapt to nine different concrete mix designs. A mix of 50% Portland cement and 50% slag cement optimized concrete performance and sustainability. The use of integrally colored concrete walls helped the building achieve LEED Silver status.
